Disassembly method and reassembly acceptance standard for stainless steel filter cartridge
If you want to clean the stainless steel filter, you need to disassemble it first. The removal of its filter element has a three-step process, which I will share with you today.
Firstly, remove the fixed shell and rotate the filter cap counterclockwise (if it is a threaded type). For the snap on type, press the release button before separating. Then remove the filter element assembly, slowly pulling out the filter element vertically upwards to avoid shaking and causing the sealing ring to fall off. The final step is to separate the auxiliary components, record the sequence of multi-layer filter elements (pre/activated carbon/precision filter elements), and remove accessories such as pressure gauges and drain valves.
After cleaning, the filter element should be thoroughly dried (oven at 70 ℃/hot air blowing) to prevent residual water from breeding bacteria. During installation, confirm that the O-ring is coated with food grade silicone grease, manually tighten it, and then reinforce it with a tool by 1/4 turn (to prevent leakage and avoid over tightening and fracturing). Finally, conduct a system trial run: first open the exhaust valve → slowly open the inlet valve → exhaust all air before closing the valve → open the water valve, and check that there is no leakage at the interface (pressure holding test ≥ 15 minutes).
