The structure of butterfly valve: four components are ready!

Butterfly valve is a “rotating baffle in the pipeline”, like the blades of an electric fan, which can control the flow of liquid or gas in the pipeline by rotating at an angle.
Its structure is minimalist, divided into four parts:
1. Valve body
The connecting shell of the pipeline is like the outer frame of a water pipe joint.
2. Butterfly board
The core disk (such as a disc or fan blade) can be rotated to block or release the channel.
3. Valve stem
By passing through the “rotating shaft” at the center of the butterfly plate, manually or electrically twisting it will drive the butterfly plate to rotate.
4. Sealing ring
The rubber or metal pad on the edge of the butterfly plate, when tightly closed, presses against the inner wall of the pipeline to prevent leakage.
You can imagine the operation of a butterfly valve as having a coin in the middle of a water pipe, twisting the coin angle to control the size of the water flow.
